Fraser Mills is a massive new master planned community located on 96 acres of former industrial land on the Fraser River waterfront. Fraser Mills Waterfront Village will eventually have up to 13 residential towers with both apartment condos and townhomes as well as restaurants, commercial space and a new community centre. There is also a proposal for a new secondary school. The project will include a total of 16 acres of parks and open spaces, a large plaza and a 330 foot pier. Public art will incorporate old growth heavy timber and equipment salvaged from the former Fraser Mill (once the largest sawmill in the British Commonwealth). The build out for the entire project is expected to take 15 to 20 years.
